Carol died at St Elizabeth on 7th December 2002 after a three and a half year fight with breast cancer. She is still greatly missed by her family and friends. Born in 1962 Carol was the only daughter of Pam and Harry and older sister to Michael. In 1981 she married Andrew and lived initially in Chelmsford and later in Brantham. Always a quiet, kind and helpful person Carol is a much loved and missed wife, daughter and sister. Despite successful careers in banking and local government Carol's interests were always more artistic. She loved sketching and writing poetry. Carol was also passionate about the environment and was a supporter of many environmental and animal charities. Although Carol only spent her last 24 hours at St Elizabeth Hospice I feel she could not have had better care when she was at her weakest and most vulnerable. For this reason I would like to support the hospice's work in helping others.
